GRILLED CORN IN HUSKS 
Corn
Oil, butter or basting sauce

Pull off dry outside husks. Tear several 1/4 inch wide to use as ties. Gently peel back inner husks, remove silk, spread corn with oil, butter or basting sauce. Lay inner husks back in place around corn. Tie at top with corn husk strips. Immerse in cold water to cover corn for 15 to 30 minutes. Drain well.

Grill for 15 to 20 minutes, turning often. To grill corn out of husks, peel off and discard all husks and silks. Grill for about 8 minutes, turning often.

Don't over complicate this very old way of making corn. When we are lazy we just throw the ears in the water and then grill them. Use lime quarters crushed and rubbed on the corn instead of butter with/without good salt. Gloves are handy for removing the husks after grilling.
