BUTTERSCOTCH ICE BOX COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
Pinch of salt
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. broken pecan halves

Cream butter, sugar and salt. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Sift flour and soda together, add to butter mixture. Add more flour if needed, also add nuts. Make into a roll, wrap in waxed paper. Chill overnight in refrigerator. Slice very thin. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
