“MOLASSES DROP COOKIES” IS IN:

MOLASSES DROP COOKIES 
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup molasses
3/4 cup seeded raisins (cut fine)
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves

Cream shortening, add the sugar gradually, creaming until light and fluffy. Add eggs, then the milk and molasses and raisins.

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and spices and add to creamed mixture, beating until smooth.

Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet 1-inch apart.

Bake in moderate oven (350°F) for 10 to 12 minutes.

Makes 4 dozen cookies.
