SAUSAGE BALLS IN CRANBERRY SAUCE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 lb. sausage 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1 c. (about 15) saltine crackers 1 medium onion, finely chopped 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Combine ingredients. For appetizers, shape into 1-inch meatballs (about 5 dozen). Place on rack in a 15 x 10 x 1 baking pan at 400°F for 15 minutes. For main dish entree, make into 18 meatballs and bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes. Sauce: 2 cans (16 oz.) whole cranberry sauce 2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans tomato soup (undiluted) 1 tsp. mustard Meanwhile, combine cranberry sauce, soup and mustard in large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and add the meatballs. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. |
