HOSE'S EAST TEXAS SAUSAGE AND CHEESE BALLS | |
These are fantastic tasting. ;) 1 lb. bulk sausage roll (I use Jimmy Dean) 1/2 sleeve crackers (your choice) 1/4 to 1/2 cup Louisiana hot sauce 1 cup shredded Mexican "fiesta" cheese Preheat oven to 375°F. Crush crackers into finely ground crumbs. Break up sausage in a wide mouth mixing bowl and add Louisiana hot sauce and mix it up thoroughly. Add your cracker crumbs and mix thoroughly as well until all crumbs are absorbed into sausage. Add shredded cheese and mix thoroughly until all of the cheese has been absorbed into the sausage. Prepare cookie sheet with aluminum foil (I prefer to use a wire rack on top of that that you can usually find in a roasting pan kit. This helps prevent sticking and you don't need to use cooking sprays or grease). Start rolling up your sausage mix into 3/4-inch balls. 1-inch is fine but not too big. Place them onto the rack. You should get around 35 of them or close. Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes. Remove and let set 5 more minutes. Serve with some creamy Ranch dressing and live it up! Submitted by: Hose Hemoyanaise |
