BELLE'S SAUSAGE CHEESE BALLS | |
3 cups Biscuit Mix (Bisquick) 1 lb. pork sausage without casings 4 cups shredded cheese (Cheddar or Monterey Jack) 1/2 cup grated Parmesan 1/2 cup milk 1/2 tsp. dried rosemary leaves 1/2 tsp. rubbed sage (optional) 2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley 1/4 tsp. garlic and onion powder (each) Preheat oven to 350°F. Brush or spray a baking sheet with butter, oil or spray or use parchment paper. In a large mixing bowl, combine ingredients and mix well. Shape into 1-inch balls and arrange on baking pan 1 inch apart. Bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until no longer pink in center. Remove from pan and serve. Note: chopped ham may be substituted for the sausage. Make Ahead: Cover and freeze unbaked sausage balls on a baking sheet. When frozen, transfer to freezer bag; keeps for a month. Bake frozen balls for 25 to 30 minutes or til browned. Submitted by: Belle |
