“SALSA ROMANA” IS IN:

SALSA ROMANA 
A savory and unique salsa that makes great use of those juicy garden tomatoes!

1 lb. Roma tomatoes, chopped
4 tbsp. finely diced red onions
3/4 cup loosely packed julienned basil leaves
1 tbsp. finely minced garlic
3 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar

Thoroughly combine all ingredients in a bowl. Allow to sit at room temperature for 1-2 hours before serving.

Serve with tortilla chips, pita crisps, grilled meats, or use as a topping for "Bruschetta".

Makes about 3 cups.
