MULLED APPLE CIDER 
8 c. apple cider
1 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 (4 inch) stick cinnamon
8 whole cloves

Combine the cider, brown sugar, lemon juice, and nutmeg in a stainless steel or enamel saucepan. Tie the cinnamon stick and cloves in a cheesecloth bag and place it in the pan. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove bag of spices. Serve hot - 8 mugs.
