CURRANT SCONES 
2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
2/3 c. currants
5.33 oz. evaporated milk
1 egg

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Mix in currants. Combine milk and egg; stir into dry ingredients until just moistened. Knead dough 5 or 6 times. Press into 8" circle, 1" thick. Cut into 8 wedges. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
