3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. oil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. prepared mustard

Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Pour over 1 head cabbage, shredded, 1 carrot, shredded, onion and green pepper (optional). Stir well and let sit 45 minutes, stirring frequently first 30 minutes. Stir well before serving. Keeps very well.
