STUFFED BELL PEPPERS | |
4 lg. bell peppers, halved 2 lb. ground beef 1 c. cooked long grain rice 1/2 c. finely chopped onion 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce, reserving 1/2 for topping Salt and pepper Dash of Tabasco Cut and clean bell peppers and parboil for 5-8 minutes. Mix ingredients with 1/2 can tomato sauce. Place drained pepper in casserole. Form balls with meat mixture and stuff each pepper using all the meat. Bake at 400 degrees for 35-45 minutes. May have to pour off the drippings. When the meat begins to brown, spoon on remaining tomato sauce and finish browning. |
