CINNAMON APPLES 
8 or more apples
1/2 c. cinnamon candies
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. water
Few drops red food coloring

Peel apples and slice; put in a saucepan. Add sugar, red cinnamon candies and a few drops of food coloring, mixed with 1/2 cup water. Cook until tender. Then pour into a baking dish with some of the liquid. Dot top of apples with butter and bake until thickened, about 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
