2 c. sugar
2 c. water
2 c. vinegar
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. allspice, ground
1 tsp. cinnamon, ground
2 cans cooked beets, drained or use fresh cooked beets

Mix all ingredients in pan and boil 10 minutes.
