“MEATY NACHO DIP” IS IN:

MEATY NACHO DIP
1 lb. (16 oz.) Velveeta pasteurized prepared cheese product
1 roll Jimmy Dean hot or original sausage
1 (10 oz.) can Rotel Mexican tomatoes (for less spicy flavor, use original)

Brown meat until fully cooked. Should be very little grease. Meanwhile cut Velveeta into small cubes. When meat is fully cooked slowly add cubes of Velveeta, while stirring frequently. Turn burner to medium/high.

When Velveeta is melted turn burner to medium/low. Add Rotel Tomatoes. Mix well.

Best when dip is hot or kept warm. Great with chips, in tacos or burritos, or even omelets.

You can also use cream cheese instead of Velvetta for a more rich and creamy dip..it's the only way I make it now but amazing either way!

I have been making these for years, and I bake them once in awhile on a pizza stone. YUMMO!! You can also use any Mexican cheese that melts easily, like queso blanco.

I have been making this for about a decade. Couple of tips for you. I double this batch using one JD Regular sausage and one JD Hot sausage. Also, it melts beautifully in a crock pot. Just brown meat first and combine all in crockpot. Enjoy!

I'm trying to find the best way to cook Rotel because my husband is a very picky eater. He has been having me make his stepmothers Rotel but I don't care for it. He has me use 1 pound ground turkey hamburger meat an a whole thing of Velveeta and 1 can Rotel drained and 2/3 cup 2% milk. But my older brother tout me to cook 1 pound ground beef hamburger meat and 2 jars of Velveeta cheese and 1 jar of sauce. But I'm trying to find the best seasonings to use best. I only us seasoning salt an garlic powder and lemon pepper.
