MEAT & VEGETABLE HOT DISH 
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
2 to 3 med. onions, separated into rings
2 c. celery, sliced diagonally
1 lg. green pepper, sliced diagonally
1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms, pieces & bits
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. red cooking wine
Little oil
Water
1 c. crushed potato chips for topping, if desired

In a little oil, brown hamburger slightly, drain off some fat and add 1/4 cup wine and cook until done. Spoon meat out of liquid into a mixing bowl. Add 1/4 cup water to liquid, add onions and cook, until done, then spoon onions from liquid to bowl. Add 1/2 cup water to liquid, add celery and green pepper, cook, covered until done.

Spoon vegetables from liquid to bowl. Add drained mushrooms to mixture. Mix milk with soup and add to mixture and blend together. Pour into 8 x 8 inch Pyrex dish and bake at 350 degrees until hot and bubbly, about 40 minutes. Serves 4 generously. Serve with toast and salad.
