CHOCOLATE CRISPIES (Fudge
Brownies)
 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter (melted)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour
2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Beat eggs until light. Add sugar and vanilla. Beat until thick. Melt butter and chocolate squares together. Add to mixture, beat until well blended. Add flour and mix well.

Pour in well greased square pan (8x8). Sprinkle nuts on top. Bake 25-30 minutes at 325 degrees. Do not overbake - should be crusty top and fudge-like middle.
