BEER BREAD 
3 c. self-rising flour
3 tbsp. sugar
12 oz. beer
1 stick butter, melted

Lightly mix together the flour, sugar and beer into a lumpy batter. Pour into a greased 4x8 inch loaf pan. Pour 1/3 of the melted butter over the mixture and bake at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes. Pour half the remaining melted butter on top of bread. Continue baking for 10 more minutes and pour the last of the melted butter on bread and bake 10 minutes longer. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
