LYNN'S GINGER SNAPS 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
4 tsp. molasses
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger (generous)
1/2 tsp. salt

Roll into balls and then granulated sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
