MAMA'S CHOCOLATE PIE 
1 (8 inch) deep dish pie crust, cooked
1 (15 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
2 squares (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. hot water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. heavy cream, whipped, or Cool Whip

Combine Eagle Brand milk, chocolate, and salt in double boiler. Heat over boiling water. Stir constantly until very thick. Stir in water a little at a time, keeping smooth. Continue cooking. Stir often until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Pour into pie shell. Cool at room temperature 1/2 hour. Refrigerate at least 3 hours. Garnish with whipped cream.
