MARYLAND CRAB CAKES | |
1 lb. crab meat 1 lg. egg 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 c. Italian seasoned bread crumbs 1/4 c. mayonnaise 1/4 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. dry mustard Remove all cartilage from crab meat. In a bowl, mix bread crumbs, egg, mayonnaise and seasonings. Add crab meat and mix gently, but not thoroughly. Shape into 6 cakes and fry in hot fat at 350 degrees until browned. Or, pan fry in butter (or oil) until browned on both sides. |
