MARINADE SAUCE 
1 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. ketchup
2/3 c. vinegar
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. vegetable oil
5 to 6 cloves garlic (or tsp. garlic powder)
2 tsp. ground ginger

Mix all the above ingredients over high heat until it boils. Let this simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes. This can be made ahead for refrigeration and can be mixed with rice or used as a barbecue sauce for meat.
