SPICY MARINADE AND BASTING SAUCE 
1/3 c. soy sauce
1 tbsp. catsup
1 tbsp. dry sherry
1 tbsp. dark brown sugar
1 med. garlic clove, crushed
3/4 tsp. powdered ginger

Combine all ingredients. For marinade, pour over London broil overnight, turning occasionally. For basting, brush on chicken, spareribs, shrimp or lamb while grilling or broiling. Makes 2/3 cup.
