MARSHMALLOW COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix ingredients together and drop by small spoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet. Bake around 6 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from the oven and slightly press a marshmallow half on each cookie (cut side down). Return to the oven for about 1 1/2 minutes more. Cool. Frost with chocolate frosting: 7 tbsp. butter 6 tbsp. milk

Bring the above ingredients to a boil and boil 1 minute. Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon vanilla, beat until ready to spread. Then frost. Be sure and completely cover the marshmallows with frosting. Kids really like these.
