GROUND BEEF WITH GLAMOUR 
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg, beaten
1 c. cooked rice
1 sm. clove garlic, crushed
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can gravy
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. red wine
Cornstarch (optional)

Combine beef, egg, rice, onion, garlic, salt and pepper; mix just enough to blend. Shape into thick patties and brown lightly in oil. Pour off excess oil, add wine and gravy. Simmer about 1/2 hour, basting often. Serves 4. Thicken with a little cornstarch mixed with a little cold water before serving.
