PORCUPINE MEAT BALLS 
1 can tomato soup
1/4 - 1/2 c. uncooked rice
2 slices bread
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. minced onion
1 egg
2 tbsp. parsley
2 tbsp. shortening
1 - 1 1/4 c. water

Mix 1/4 cup tomato soup, rice, bread, meat, onion and egg. Shape into 16, 1 1/2 inch balls. Brown in shortening. Add soup and water. Cover. Simmer for 40 minutes to 1 hour.
