HASH BROWN POTATO CASSEROLE 
1 (32 oz.) shredded frozen white potatoes
1/2 c. melted butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted) or cream of chicken soup
12 oz. grated American cheese
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
1 tsp. salt
1/2 sm. onion, grated
2 c. crushed potato chips or corn flakes

Place thawed potatoes in a 9 x 13 inch dish. Mix together next 6 ingredients and pour over potatoes. Top with crushed potato chips. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Serves 12.
