BEEF JERKY 
3 to 4 lb. round steak or other lean meat, thinly sliced
1/2 onion, diced
1/4 tsp. thyme
2 bay leaves
2 tbsp. salt
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. vinegar
1 c. red wine
1 c. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c. soy sauce

Mix ingredients and cover meat. Cover and refrigerate at least 15 hours. Squeeze out excess marinade and arrange on cookie cooling racks on cookie sheets. Bake at 175 degrees for 9 hours turning several times until dry on both sides.

Microwave: Arrange on micro-safe roasting rack in baking dish and cook on high 8 minutes. Turn over and cook at 5 minutes increments until done.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
