Definitely needs more sugar! I tasted batter as I went and ended up adding another half cup of sugar, so just add 1 cup to begin and you'll be good!

Many years ago, my mother used to make these cookies. They were my brothers and my favorite cookies. I would like to make some for my kids and surprise my mom and brothers with some. However, I cannot find the cherry chips. I believe they were made by Nestles. Does anybody know where I can order a few bags of them?

My favorite go to Christmas cookies. I live in Madison WI and I can get the cherry chips at Woodman's grocery store. They are made by Eillien's (Eilliens Candies inc. in Green Bay WI 54304)
