ALMOND RACHA 
1 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. water
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. almonds
1 lb. chocolate bar

Mix butter, sugar, water and cream of tartar in pan. Heat slowly, stirring until dissolved. Cook to 310 degrees, stirring often. Add 1/2 cup nuts. Pour on buttered cookie sheet; let cool.

Melt chocolate over water in double boiler. Spread 1/2 chocolate over candy. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup sliced almonds. Let cool, turn over. Spread with remaining chocolate and nuts. Break into pieces.
