SAUCEPAN BROWNIES 
1 stick butter
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (opt.)

In a 2 quart saucepan melt butter. Add chocolate over low heat, stirring occasionally. Stir in sugar; cool to room temperature. Into chocolate mixture stir in 2 eggs and vanilla. Then flour and walnuts. Pour into greased 8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

If desired you could sprinkle top of hot baked brownies with 1/2 cup of semi sweet chocolate morsels and let set until softened. Spread to make frosting.
