APPLE CRISP 
1 c. flour
3/4 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. cornstarch
4 c. sliced apples

Mix together flour, oatmeal, cinnamon and butter until crumbly. Slice apples. Boil sugar, water, cornstarch and vanilla until clear and thick. Take 1/2 of crumble mixture and put in bottom of 8"x8" pan. Add apples. Pour boiled mixture on top of apples. Add rest of crumbled mixture on top. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
