APPLE CRISP 
5-6 lg. tart apples, peeled and sliced
2/3 c. sugar
Cinnamon
1/2 c. dry oatmeal
1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter

Peel and slice apples into buttered baking dish. Sprinkle with 2/3 cup sugar and cinnamon. In separate bowl mix remaining ingredients. Crumble over apples. Bake at 400 degrees until tender, about 45 minutes. Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.

I made this recipe up; deleting the nuts,adding ground nutmeg with the cinnamon, and sprinkling 1/4 cup orange juice over sliced apples before continuing with next step of recipe. This was delicious and will be prepared again.
