ALMOND CAKE | |
1 c. butter 1 c. sugar 3 eggs 1 can Solo almond filling 2 1/4 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. milk Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beating thoroughly. Add almond filling, mix in well. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with the milk. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool cake in the pan. When cool, remove from pan and drizzle the following glaze over the top of cake. Combine 1 cup confectioners' sugar, 2 tablespoons cream, 1/4 teaspoon almond flavoring. |
