APPLE DESSERT 
5-6 c. apples
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter
1 egg

Slice and peel apples and put in a buttered 9"x13" cake pan. Sprinkle on 1 cup sugar, cinnamon and dot with some butter. Sift together flour, baking powder, and 3/4 cup sugar. Cut in butter as for pie crust; then add 1 beaten egg. Stir until it leaves the sides of the bowl. Drop by spoonfuls over apples. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve plain or with ice cream. It's easier to drop small bits of dough off a teaspoon to get it even.
