3/4 c. sifted cake flour
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of mace and cinnamon
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
1 1/2 c. chopped tart apples

Mix and sift first 6 ingredients. Stir in unbeaten eggs and vanilla. Fold in apple and nuts.

Turn into well-greased 9-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
