STRAWBERRY - CHERRY JAM 
3 c. strawberries, hulled
3 c. black cherries, pitted
4 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 orange, thin sliced

Combine strawberries and cherries, add sugar, lemon juice and orange. Cook rapidly, stirring constantly, until thick. (Approximately 20 minutes.) Jam is done if it gels when dropped into water. Pour into sterilized jars and seal while still hot.
