BLACKBERRY ROLY POLY 
2 c. blackberries (frozen or fresh)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed

2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
3 tsp. baking powder
2 to 4 tbsp. shortening

Roll to above size; spread with butter, cover to 1/2 inch of sides with berries. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll as jelly roll and cut in 1 1/2 inch lengths. Place in baking dish.

SAUCE:

1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. lemon rind
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. water

Boil for 10 minutes. Pour over already cut roll in baking dish. Bake in 425 degree oven for 35 minutes. Nice served with whipped cream or plain cream.
