KOSHER DILL PICKLES 
Sm. pickling cucumbers
1 jalapeno peppers, slit - qts.
2 lg. head fresh dill - qt.
1 clove garlic - qt.
1 washed and folded grape leaf - qt.
1 sm. head fresh dill - qt.
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar - qt.
3/4 c. granulated pickling salt
3 qts. water
2 qts. vinegar

Wash cucumbers and remove any pieces of blossom on ends. In bottom of each quart jar, put washed and folded grape leaf, 2 large heads of dill, garlic clove, and jalapeno peppers. Pack in cucumber. On top, place small head fresh dill and cream of tartar. Prepare brine by bringing pickling salt, water and vinegar to a boil. Pour over cucumbers to within 1/2 inch of jar top. Seal and process 20 minutes in boiling water bath. Old-fashion dill.
