OREO ICE CREAM CAKE 
24 crushed Oreo cookies
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. chocolate syrup
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 lg. container Cool Whip
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Heat 1 stick butter with water and chocolate syrup. Boil, stirring constantly. Simmer 5 minutes and cool. Mix crushed cookies (filling and all) with remaining 1/2 stick butter. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Freeze 1 hour. Soften ice cream and spread over cookie crust. Freeze 1 hour. Pour syrup over top. Freeze 1 hour. Spread Cool Whip and nuts at serving time.
