MARVINIA'S RHUBARB CAKE 
Cake:

1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sliced rhubarb

Mix well butter, brown sugar, egg, buttermilk, baking soda, flour, vanilla and rhubarb.

Bake at 325°F for 45 minutes in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch lightly greased pan.

Topping:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Mix ingredients and spread on cake. Put under broiler for 2 to 3 minutes.
