DATE AND COCONUT BALLS 
1 stick (1/4 lb.) butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 lb. dates, cut up
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. Rice Krispies
Coconut

Cook the first 4 ingredients in a heavy pan or skillet, stirring constantly until it comes to a bubbly boil. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add 2 teaspoons vanilla. Put Rice Krispies in a large bowl. Pour mixture over the cereal and mix well. When cool, make into balls and roll in coconut.
