1 pkg. quick acting active dry yeast 1 1/3 c. warm water 3-3 1/2 c. flour 3 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 tbsp. honey 1 tsp. salt 1 egg white, slightly beaten Coarse salt or sesame seed Dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in 1 cup flour, oil, honey and 1 teaspoon salt. Beat until smooth. Stir in remaining flour, scraping dough from sides until it is soft. Cover and let rise in warm place until double (45 minutes). Heat oven to 400 degrees. Stir dough slightly. Turn onto floured surface. Roll to coat. Divide into 24 parts. Roll each into 9 inch rope. Place on greased cookie sheet. Brush with egg white. Sprinkle with salt or sesame seed or just coat with garlic butter. Bake about 15 minutes. |
