SESAME SEED BREADSTICKS
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 tbsp. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/3 c. butter
Sesame seed

Mix dry ingredients. Add milk and mix well. Turn out on well floured board and sprinkle lightly with flour. Knead about 10 turns. Roll out, making a rectangle about 12"x18". With floured knife, cut strips 1/2" x 4".

Meanwhile, melt butter in pan (13"x9"x2") in preheated, very hot oven, 450 degrees. Remove pan from oven and dip strips into butter, covering all sides. Lay in rows in the same pan, sprinkle with sesame seed and bake for 15 minutes or until brown. Makes 48 breadsticks.

VARIATIONS: Herb seasoning, onion powder or grated cheese could be added to dough for a more interesting flavor.
