BEER BATTER 
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Stale beer

Put flour, salt and soda in medium size bowl. Mix well with fork. Add enough stale beer to make batter the consistency of pancake batter. Cut fish fillets into serving size pieces, completely thaw frozen fillets. Heat oil or shortening in deep fryer or pan to 350 degrees. Dip fillets in batter and drop into fat. Fry for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Serve with tartar sauce and lemon.
