3/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. granulated sugar 1/2 c. vegetable oil 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 envelopes unsweetened chocolate 3 oz. chopped walnuts or 1/2 cup whole walnuts 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits In large mixing bowl, measure and sift flour, baking powder and salt. Measure sugar and mix into sifted ingredients. Take 1/2 cup vegetable oil and pour into center of sifted ingredients. Don't stir yet. Pour eggs into bowl, add vanilla and premelted chocolate. Stir slowly then beat well until you have a nice smooth batter. Add chopped nuts. If you have whole nuts, break with your fingers into little pieces and add to batter. Pour semi-sweet chocolate bits and stir. Stir nuts and bits well into batter. Pour batter into a greased 8 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. It will rise up. The top will be bumpy, the edge will look crisp. When cake is done, put on wire rack. Cool for 15 to 20 minutes, then cut cake into 16 little brownies. Tiffany's favorite! |
