PLUM JELLY 
4 c. plum juice
1 c. water
6 1/2 c. sugar
1 box Sure-jell
1 tsp. butter

Add Sure-jell to juice and water and bring to rolling boil. Add 1 teaspoon butter. Add all of sugar and bring back to rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute and remove from heat. Skim and pour in jars and seal. 4 or 5 pints.

To extract juice: Wash plums. Just cover with water and boil until skins pop and fruit is soft. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain through jelly bag or cheesecloth.
