CHOCOLATE CHIP BLONDE BROWNIES 
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts
1/3 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 slightly beaten egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add nuts; set aside. Melt butter in pan; add brown sugar and mix well. Add egg and vanilla, then add flour mixture, a small amount at a time, mixing well after each addition. Spread in greased 9x9x2 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Bake in moderate 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. Cut into 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch bars. Yield: approximately 2 dozen.
