LONDON BROIL 
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. rosemary
1 clove garlic, mashed
1/2 onion, chopped
1 tbsp. wine vinegar
2 tbsp. salad oil
1-1 3/4 lb. flank steak

Combine all ingredients. Brush both sides of steak with marinade. Let stand in mixture at least 2 hours. Broil 3-inches from heat for 5 minutes.

Turn, brush with remaining marinade and broil another 4-5 minutes. Slice steak diagonally across grain as thin as possible. Spoon pan juices over meat. Serves 4-6.
