LONDON BROIL 
2 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme or basil
1 1/2 lb. flank steak

Blend oil, vinegar, soy sauce and seasonings for marinade. Pierce steak with fork and turn in marinade to coat all sides. Let stand 1/2 hour at room temperature or longer in refrigerator. Broil 4 inches from moderate heat until rare (5 minutes per side).
