GRANDMA GIANFORTI'S STUFFED
MUSHROOMS
 
12 lg. mushrooms
3 1/2 tbsp. butter
1 c. bread crumbs
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
3 tbsp. chopped walnuts
1 tbsp. A-1 Sauce
1 tbsp. minced onion
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. water

Clean mushrooms. Remove stems and chop. Saute stems and onions in 1/2 of butter until onions are golden. Mix sauteed mushrooms with salt, crumbs, cheese, walnuts, and sauce. Stuff mushroom caps with this mixture and place in shallow baking dish. Pie pan works good. Add water and broil until bubbly.
